Review
Mona Records is one of the many musical outlets for young artists in Shimokitazawa. Occupying two floors inside the Ina Building, Mona operates a shop, restaurants, a gig space and a music label. The second-floor shop sells CDs, including quite a few hard-to-find indie releases, reflecting the company's penchant for discovering talented up-and-comers. In business for over a decade now, Mona has held an annual label competition since 2011; poppers Shiggy Jr. won the grand prize in 2013.
