New openings

Review

Shimokitazawa is already one of Tokyo's top neighbourhoods for curry, as evidenced by the area's annual festival dedicated solely to this spicy delicacy. Opened in early September of this year, Anjali tries to rise above the competition with excellent location (right by the station), dry curries served with spicy rice, and some very original decorations, including a colourful camel in one corner. Prices are set pretty much according to the area average – expect to pay around ¥1,000 for the admittedly filling lunch sets.
