Blue Note Japan isn't just in the jazz club business: it also runs restaurants like the hip Brooklyn Parlor in Shinjuku and upscale French restaurant Resonance in Marunouchi. One of the newer additions to its empire, Cafe 104.5 occupies a second-floor spot in the Waterras tower in Ochanomizu, which guarantees it a steady flow of foot traffic. The deli counter stocks a range of imported and original condiments, sweets, alcohols and salads, while the café area serves up a brasserie-style menu devised by Resonance head chef Takahisa Nagasawa. They've even got their own beer, 104.5 Ale.
