Review

Craving a hearty helping of flavoured pork? Make your way to Okachimachi, where you'll find this bar and eatery serving Hokkaido-style, 'real' (as the shop name suggests) butadon (pork over rice). The portion sizes fit the price level (¥1,200 for the standard-sized version), the meat is soft and impeccably seasoned, and the balance of sweet and sour is just right. Note that this delicacy is only available at lunchtime, whereas the dinner menu consists of choices like shabu-shabu, seasonal sashimi and other seafood dishes.
