Always one of the most engaging voices on the British indie scene, David Gedge will be bringing the latest incarnation of The Wedding Present to Tokyo for a pair of gigs this April. The Weddoes have always had a strong following here, and hardcore fans might find themselves tempted to go to both shows: the first night sees the group revisit their Steve Albini-produced 1991 album Seamonster, while the second will focus on tracks from new album Valentina, which gets released in Japan on March 21.
