Review

This cosy basement wine bar boasts a decor every bit as eccentric as its name. The cuisine is modern (meaning here a Japanese take on Italian), and portions are modest, but there’s a great cellar, focusing exclusively on Antipodean wines, with half a dozen always available by the glass. The lights stay dimmed, the welcome is friendly, and hectic Tokyo always feels a long way away.
