Review

Housed on the ground floor of the Sony Building in Ginza, the Cardinal lays claim to being Japan's first authentic British pub – it opened way back in 1966. Prices are on the steep site (a pint of Guinness costs an eye-watering ¥1,400), but the setting – all scarlet-painted walls and plush seating – has an undeniable charm.
