Azabu-Juban's go-to place for vegetarian grub, Eat More Greens draws a cosmopolitan crowd with the promise of meat-free taco rice and vegan pecan pie. Modelled after the kind of eatery you might find in New York's Lower East Side, the restaurant has high ceilings, a long counter and ample terrace seating. Lunch options include a daily soup, curry and rice bowl, though many people opt for the staple dish: vegetarian taco rice, made with black soybeans and black rice (pictured). At dinner, the choice expands to include falafel, veggie bolognaise and a daily pasta – and make sure you leave room for some vegan cake afterwards. In the warmer months, Eat More Greens opens for breakfast at the weekend, when you can start the day with some own-made bread and jam.
