If you need some sustenance during a hard day of shopping, head to this popular hole-in-the-wall shop on Harajuku's Cat Street for one of the staples of Japanese street food: takoyaki octopus balls. Daihachi Takohanamaru's enviable location means that it always enjoys a brisk trade amongst local shoppers, while novel dishes like omu-tako (made with egg instead of batter) and shio-tako (flavoured with a mix of salt, garlic, sesame and lemon) mean that there's always a good excuse for a repeat visit.
