Relations between Japan and its East Asian neighbours may be at their lowest point in quite a while, but at least we've still got art. Returning for its fourth year, The Tokyo Art Book Fair is based around the theme 'Asian Friends', offering prominent placement to publishers from Korea, China and Taiwan – which, given current diplomatic tensions, can only be a good thing. The event bills itself as the biggest art book fair in Asia, with over 230 publishers, gallery presses and independent creators taking part. If you're looking to get into the swing of things, head there on Friday evening for an opening party and reception where everyone's welcome – industry bods and random stragglers alike.
