Review

With roots going back centuries, Edegger-Tax hails from Graz, Austria, and gets its title from its former status as an official purveyor to the Austro-Hungarian court. This venerable bakery is now taking a step into a different world with its first-ever branch outside its city of birth, setting up shop on a corner of the Maach Ecute complex at Manseibashi. Head over for everything from Imperial-quality bread and open sandwiches to 'Sissi-Busserl', a chocolate cookie said to have been the favourite of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, known as Sissi.
