Macy Gray's date at the Blue Note Tokyo back in January was the opening gambit in a year that's seen the R&B singer ingratiate herself with the jazz scene like never before. After a string of dates at jazz festivals over the summer, she arrives back in Japan as guest singer for pedigreed big band The Duke Ellington Orchestra.
