Time Out says

You can talk all you like about artistic credibility, but sometimes shilling for cash is the only way to secure wider success. Japanese-American singer Emi Meyer has been churning out solid, likable ditties for years now, but it took a Toyota Prius ad campaign to propel her into the mainstream consciousness. She's already sold out a date at Star Pine's Café in May, leading promoters to pencil in this extra gig at the start of June. Bravo, we say.
