A Bangkok institution since the ’60s, no-frills Thai chicken rice chain Kaithong caused a minor sensation with its Shibuya shop last year, and is now reaching out to the starving salarymen of Shinbashi with this new branch. Opened in March 2015, the restaurant follows the exact same concept as in Shibuya: Hainanese-style chicken rice (Khao Man Kai, ¥800) is the only thing on the menu, but it's done really well – make sure to pour some of the spicy dipping sauce on the chicken, and add as much fresh coriander as you see fit.
