A good spot for both starting and ending a night out in Roppongi (it stays open until 5am), Sakura initially resembles an Italian restaurant in the Rigoletto vein, serving affordably priced antipasti, pizzas and pastas in a casual setting that's split between sit-down tables and a standing bar area. But there's another side to this place: the in-house wine store boasts some seriously high-end bottles – including, most extravagantly, a complete Château Mouton Rothschild collection going back as far as 1945 – which you can drink with your meal for a ¥2,100 corkage charge. Located on a back street that runs parallel to Roppongi-Dori, Sakura is constantly bustling, meaning that reservations are a good idea if you're planning on heading there with a large group.
