Sure, it's run by corporate giant Ueshima (UCC) and doesn't exactly exude the hipster attitude supposedly required of a 'Third Wave' coffee shop in Tokyo, but this Jiyugaoka newcomer still serves up some damn good Joe – and does it in style. The staff are versed in espresso, hand-drip and siphon methodology, six single-origin varieties are available at all times, and the finished product is served in Arita-yaki cups for that extra hint of class. Drink prices here are largely the same as at independent shops, so you'll need to fork out at least ¥700 for a taste of the good stuff. The food menu also merits a look, if only for the appetising waffle pancakes.
