Things are looking bleak for Wendy's Japan: their Omotesando branch closed its doors in 2014, and now the chain's Roppongi shop has been moved from its previous location to an admittedly more central spot – which, however, means a tie-up with domestic fast food dealers First Kitchen. Gone are the 'Japan Premium' caviar and lobster burgers, so you'll have to make do it with the familiar square patties, coarse-cut fries and chilli beans, plus the standard 'Fakin' (First Kitchen's less-than-flattering nickname) menu of sandwiches, pasta and the like. At least they stay open (almost) around the clock on weekends.
