With the opening of this branch in central Harajuku, breakfast supremo Bill Granger's Japanese empire officially surpassed the scale of his Australian one. But where his other Tokyo-area eateries – whether in Shichirigahama, Yokohama or Odaiba – required a special trip, this one is as convenient as they come, perched on the top floor of the Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku complex. Open daily from 8.30am, it's got the edge over local rivals like Eggs'n Things as a breakfast spot – and that's before you even take into account the menu, featuring such tried-and-tested Bills staples as ricotta pancakes, organic scrambled eggs and (praise be!) flat white coffee. Just be prepared for a long wait – and brace yourself for a heftier-than-average bill at the end of your meal.
