Review

Ron-a-ru offers down-to-earth, homemade Sichuan food, with a selection of simple and honest but spicy dishes. You'll find Sichuan pepper in everything from the mapo dofu and the tantanmen to the sauce accompanying the gyoza dumplings (which, by the way, are all-you-can-eat during lunch hours). The mapo dofu (¥1,000 at lunch) here is made with a roughly cut cotton tofu (the firmer variety of tofu) and flavoured adequately, despite its light, 'less-oil' appearance.
