Time Out says

Purbayan Chatterjee was just 15 when he won the President of India Award, the country's highest accolade for musical excellence. Mind you, he'd been playing sitar for over a decade by that point – such is life when you're born into one of India's musical dynasties. Now aged 35, Chatterjee is ranked among the finest players of his generation, whether he's interpreting classical ragas in the Nikhil Banerjee style or exploring fusion territory on albums like 2009's Stringstruck. This Tokyo date – which ties in with the Sukiyaki Meets The World festival in Toyama Prefecture – finds him joined on tabla by regular foil Anubrata Chatterjee. If you can't make it, the duo will also appear at SuperDeluxe on September 1.
