You'll feel like a first-time backpacker at this warren of Asian restaurants, which enjoys fleeting glimpses of the sky from its perch on the roof of an aging Kabukicho tower block. Discrete eateries serve up Thai, Indonesian, Korean, Malaysian and other classic street grub, but diners are free to sit in one shop and then order food from somewhere else. Somehow, it all works, and the free-for-all atmosphere lends itself well to a rowdy night of drinking.
