Review

This tiny shop is located along Umegaoka-dori, close to Awashima crossing, a brisk 15-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station. Take the Odakyu Bus to the Daizawa-yonchome bus stop, however, and you'll be dropped off practically at the front door. At present, the shop only sells rolled cakes and puddings. In 2000, they started selling cakes and baked sweets, but switched focus to ‘Egg Rolls’ (rolled cakes) in 2003. Chez Katsuno sees a stready stream of customers throughout the day, and as the shop is often featured in the media, get there after 3pm and you might find that everything is gone.
