Found behind Tsukiji Honganji, a short walk from Tsukiji market, this yakitori restaurant offers excellent value for hungry lunch eaters. Grilled chicken bento boxes and fried chicken sets are available for the very reasonable price of ¥850, but our recommendation is the mighty oyakodon (egg and grilled chicken over rice). Loads of roughly cut, juicy meat is served together with tasty eggs and seasoned sparingly to bring out the chicken's own taste – the result is a simple dish that's satisfyingly voluminous while maintaining a fresh flavour throughout. If you're in need of a protein kick around midday, this is your place.
