Review

This area is centered around the TBS Broadcasting Center. It was named to represent both the blooming of the cherry blossom (sakura sakasu in Japanese) and the many inclines (saka) in the Akasaka area including Sanbunzaka, Yagenzaka, Tangozaka, and Hikawasaka. Read from the right, 'akasaka Sacas' becomes 'saca - saka - saka'. It includes shops, restaurants, and a business tower as well as entertainment facilities including the live house 'Akasaka BLITZ' and the 'Akasaka ACT Theater'. It also boasts the first Le Boulanger Dominique Saibron in Japan which became famous for the long lines of shoppers it generated upon opening and the continually selling out of its 400 croissants every morning. Over 100 cherry blossom trees can be seen blooming here in the spring.
