Daimaru Tokyo hosts a total of 10 unique art exhibitions per year, following on its theme of ‘the deparment store goes artistic’. Each of the department store’s 11 floors specialises in something from fashion to flowers. The first and basement floors are dedicated to gourmet food and a food hall respectively. Small comforts have been capitalised upon; announcements are kept at a minimum, and the restrooms doubly function as spaces to relax.
