Review

Shinobazu-dori in the Yanesen area is renowned for its many second-hand bookstores, but not many of them serve coffee along with the tomes. Bousingot is a laid-back, very traditional shop and café stocking primarily Japanese and world literature, along with some art, music and history books. The espresso-based coffees are more than just a customer draw, while beer, wine and spirits are available as well. It's best to check the official Twitter feed before making the trip, as the owner tends to open the shop whenever it best suits him.
