The Kyushu prefecture of Kumamoto gets a chance to hawk it wares at this Ginza ‘antenna shop’, including local staples like horse meat, karashi renkon (mustard-stuffed lotus root) and shochu liquor. In recent years, the Kumamotokan has also become the go-to place for snapping up the latest merchandise for local mascot Kumamon. If you're in the mood for a quick drink, head to the upstairs Asobi Bar, which is only open during the late afternoon and evening.
