Time Out says

Long before moving to his current home in Bologna, itinerant experimental musician and performance artist John Duncan spent a number of years in Tokyo, where he became deeply entrenched in the emerging noise scene of the early '80s. This SuperDeluxe gig reunites him with some old pals from those days, veteran eardrum shredders Hijokaidan, with additional help from sometime collaborator (and current Tokyo resident) Jim O'Rourke.
