Ce Qui Arrive 2012

Fri Nov 23 - Sat Nov 24, 2012 SuperDeluxe
SJQ

Time Out says

If you want to understand the future, just listen to the music of the present. That was one of the more memorable ideas advanced in Noise: The Political Economy of Music, Jacques Attali's landmark 1977 work of musicology – and one that's being put to the test at SuperDeluxe this weekend. Ce Qui Arrive uses Attali as a starting point for two evenings' worth of shows that straddle the line between music, visuals, performance art... and, presumably, futurology. The bill on Friday night, subtitled 'Contemporary Dance Groove', ranges from electronica producers Bun / Fumitake Tamura and Avec Avec to experimental sound terrorists Satanicpornocultshop, while Saturday's 'Post Experimental' session includes post-jazz tricksters SJQ and a collaboration between beatboxer Gul and punch-'em-up performance group Contact Gonzo. See below for the complete lineup.
