It was already Tokyo's most hotly fought Halloween costume contest, but Ageha has significantly upped the stakes for its competition this year: there are prizes of ¥200,000 up for grabs in each of the categories, with the overall winner standing to walk home with an eye-watering ¥1 million. Unsurprisingly, the costumed contestants are granted a starring role in the night's proceedings, as individual and group entrants perform pre-rehearsed routines for the audience (turn up – in garb – from 8-9pm on the night if you want to register to take part). Even people who couldn't be bothered getting dressed up might find themselves tempted by the Halloween goods stall that's being set up inside the club by – who else? – Don Qujote. As for the music: electro aficionados Taku Takahashi and Dexpistols are leading the charge in the main room, while DJs Satoshi Otsuki, Pi-Ge and Raha keep things in a more house/techno vein in the outdoor pool area.
