Gone are the days when you could dismiss Bo Ningen as a bunch of art school posers: this London-based quartet have slayed all doubters with their riotous onslaught of psych rock, Sabbath brutalism, post-punk and really luscious hair. Justly famed for their live shows (frontman Taigen is a pro-wrestling fan – go figure), the group outclassed most of the bands they performed with on their last Japan tour. For the opening date of their latest trip here, they've chosen one of the few local bands who rival their full-on assault: fellow long-haired freaks Gezan.
