Lady Gaga

Thu May 10 - Sun May 13, 2012 Saitama Super Arena

Time Out says

Tokyo is one of the first shows on the itinerary for Lady Gaga's upcoming world tour, which is expected to take in a total of 110 dates worldwide (a figure that sounds impressive until you consider that she originally said it'd be a record-breaking 450). The singer has described the Born This Way Ball as 'an electro-metal pop-opera', and of all the artists in the world of contemporary pop, she's probably the one best positioned to deliver on such an extravagant concept. Extravagance comes at a price, mind you: tickets for Gaga's show at Saitama Super Arena run to as much as ¥25,000 (for access to a 'Super Premium Arena Standing' area from which you can presumably reach out and stroke Ms. Germanotta's hair throughout the performance). There are also a range of packages that bundle tickets and merchandise, dubbed 'Government Hooker' (¥32,000), 'Highway Unicorn' (¥25,000) and 'Heavy Metal Lover' (¥36,000), the latter coming complete with free booze and eats.
