Oorutaichi

Fri Jul 15, 2011 Aoyama Moonromantic

Time Out says

With his pitch-shifted gibberish vocals and nonchalant disregard for genre divisions, Oorutaichi is one of the more endearing of the current crop of Japanese laptop artists. Such is his standing that he's able to curate his own gigs these days, and invite guests of the calibre of Buffalo Daughter, fresh from an appearance with YMO and Cibo Matto in LA. Two lots of sonic weirdos for the price of one, in other words. Fellow laptop wonk Shuta Hasunuma will be DJing for the night.
