Average White Band

Fri Jul 10 - Sat Jul 11, 2015 Blue Note Tokyo

Time Out says

Among the hottest bands in R&B during the ’70s, Scotland's Average White Band faded away during the following decade, only to mount a comeback when hip-hop sampling brought new attention to the group's funky grooves at the tail end of the ’80s. Best known for the much-sampled rare groove classic 'Pick Up the Pieces', the jock-funk veterans now head to Blue Note for two nights of gigs.
