Noise wonks will generally admit that it's a music best heard live, rather than on record. So it's a mystery how UK power electronics duo Sutcliffe Jugend managed to go for nearly 25 years without playing a single gig. Kevin Tomkins and Paul Taylor had acquired a formidable reputation by the time they made their virgin live appearance in London in 2005, and their belligerent, discomfiting stage shows have done little to change that since. Often cited as an inspiration for Japan's own burgeoning noise scene, they'll share the stage at Earthdom with a well chosen roster of local ear-shredders: Pain Infant, Hasegawa-Shizuo, Junko (of Hijokaidan) and Endon x DLS.
