Review

Once an underground playhouse called Jiyu Gekijo (‘free theatre’), this Nishi-Azabu basement has been reborn as a live music venue. Since opening in October 2010, Shinsekai ('New World') has maintained an admirably eclectic approach to programming, running the gamut from dub to jazz to experimental improv.
