Review

Seiro mushi, or meat and vegetables steamed in a bamboo case, is one of the lesser-known delicacies of Japanese cuisine. This newly opened specialist restaurant in Tachikawa serves up the nutrient-rich dish in a wide of variety of shapes, opening up the steamer for seafood like carpaccio and koborezushi (Hokkaido-style sushi, where the seafood spills out over the rice), and also boasts an impressive sake list. Grab a group of friends, book one of their private rooms (available for parties of four or more) and enjoy a night in gourmet heaven.
