Review

This is the first Tokyo store serving Morioka reimen (cold noodles) from Morioka where these noodles are much contested. Instead of being made from soba (buckwheat) flour, the noodles are made from a mixture of soba flour and starch made from top quality potatoes, which have a fine grain. Dig in and enjoy their slippery feel and springy texture. The soup is made from a base of beef (meat and bones) to which chicken stock is added and boiled for five hours. The kimchi (Korean pickles) has been pickled especially for the cold noodles and the balance of noodles and soup with the kimchi make for a tantalising flavour. Other popular items are neginira chijimi (Korean-style pancake with onions and chives) and chizu chijimi (Korean-style pancake with cheese).
