Review

Located about ten minutes walk along the Meguro River from Nakameguro Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line, this craft shop is like an art gallery. Highly artistic goods collected from many parts of the world are arranged beautifully around the space. Every piece is valued like a piece of art in itself and not just as a commodity. Kakitsubata also stocks Edo Kiriko and Yosegi Zaiku, traditional Japanese crafts. The profiles and detailed working practices of every artist are displayed to convey the inspiration behind each piece. Staff are chatty and are happy to talk about any item you’re interested in.
