Review

The original Rose Bakery was started by an English-French couple in Paris, but it's since made its way to London and Tokyo. This Ginza branch sits on the top floor of the ultra-hip Dover Street Market fashion emporium, and draws a predominantly female – not to mentioned well-heeled – clientele. Health-conscious eaters will relish the vegetable plate, featuring a daily selection of salads and antipasti, but If you aren't watching your waistline, make sure you try some of the famed Rose Bakery carrot cake. Go there in time for breakfast at the weekend (9am-11am), and you can choose from dishes like porridge, raw muesli and – praise be! – a full English breakfast that should keep you going until afternoon tea.
