Ueno: Stick & Spoon

Stick & Spoon serves up yoshoku (the Japanese take on Western food) favourites like hamburg and curry. The generously rotund wagyu hamburg and the kuro yaki curry, with its touch of sweetness, are particularly delicious. The rare hamburg is served sliced in two so you can see its lightly cooked, pink centre. The meat is only lightly seasoned, so it is served with your choice of three sauces: wafu oroshi (Japanese-style grated daikon), karashi miso (mustard miso), or yuzu kosho (citrus pepper). The restaurant is located between JR Ueno and Okachimachi stations.
