Time Out says

Alex Zhang Hungtai's trebly, echo-drenched missives from the Lynchian dream-world have made him a favourite among music blogger circles, while his deliciously odd 2011 album, Badlands, earned a place on the longlist for the Polaris Music Prize. The Taiwan-born, Montreal-based musician has two new records lined up for 2013, Drifters and Love is the Devil, and you can get a taster of both at his first-ever Tokyo gig this month.
