Few sax players boast the funk cred of Maceo Parker: on-off member of James Brown's band throughout the '60s, '70s and '80s, alumnus of Parliament-Funkadelic and Prince's New Power Generation, and a formidable solo artist in his own right. Expect to hear plenty of standards from the golden era of soul and funk when this heppest of horn players hits Billboard Live this weekend, in support of last year's aptly titled Soul Classics live album.
