The Stone Roses

Time Out says

Held as a warm-up for Summer Sonic each year, the all-night Sonicmania party caters to dance kids who aren't so well served by the main festival itself. While this year's headliners – reformed Madchester act The Stone Roses and iconic synthpop duo Pet Shop Boys – could just as easily have played later in the weekend (and, in the latter's case, actually are), the rest of the lineup hews closer to current dance trends. Expect appearances from EDM star Steve Aoki, nu-rave standard bearers Klaxons (remember them?), plus a roundup of acts from the Ed Banger Records stable, including Justice and Breakbot. Synth rockers Sakanaction, electro-pop trio Perfume and '90s dance warhorses Denki Groove – all strong draws in themselves – supply some local flavour.
