When slap bass pioneer Larry Graham was forced out of Sly and the Family Stone in 1972, he formed a band of his own that would prove to be far more durable, if not really as influential. Graham Central Station were most active during the '70s, but they've had a resurgence recently: they supported Prince on his 2011 US tour, and arrive in Japan with a recently released album to support, Raise Up.
