'It's now or never,' said Tony Iommi, when asked about the decision of heavy metal godfathers Black Sabbath (average age: 63) to reunite again. Though they're performing without original drummer Bill Ward, who balked at hitting the road again without seeing a proper contract, the remaining members of Sabbath – that's Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler – will be taking to the stage yet again in 2013, in a world tour that includes a Japan version of their Ozzfest event. Event regulars Slipknot head the bill on the first day of the event, joined by Slash and Deftones – and, most bizarrely, idol group Momorio Clover Z – before Sabbath, Tool and Stone Sour take over on the Sunday. Here's the complete lineup:
May 11: Slipknot, Artema, Crossfaith, Deftones, Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, Galneryus, Knock Out Monkey, Man with a Mission, Maximum The Hormone, Momoiro Clover Z, Namba69, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, The Treatment
May 12: Black Sabbath, AA=, Anthem, Coldrain, Dir En Grey, Fade, Headphones President, Mucc, Ningen-Isu, Steel Panther, Stone Sour, Tool
Open May 11-12
