The word 'bonkers' tends to get bandied around a lot in relation to Charan-Po-Rantan, the nation's best – and possibly only – accordion-toting vaudeville gypsy-pop sisters. Since starting life in 2009, when younger sibling Momo was just 16, the duo have picked up some influential fans: they appeared alongside Hikashu at this year's Fuji Rock, and were also tapped for the Next Music From Japan tour of Canada. This Loft gig comes hot on the release of a new album, Tsugai no Haguruma, and finds the sisters joined by regular backing band Yukai Na Cancan Balkan.
