Japan Blues & Soul Carnival 2012

Sun May 27, 2012 Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall
Johnny Winter

Time Out says

B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Solomon Burke have all headlined at this annual festival, first held back in 1986, but this year's Japan Blues & Soul Carnival lands squarely in (blues) rock territory. Headliner Johnny Winter was once touted as the next Jimi Hendrix, while Louisiana native Sonny Landreth deploys his virtuoso slide guitar technique in the service of hard, rock 'n' rollin' bayou blues. They're supported by one of Japan's finest electric bluesmen, Fusanosuke Kondo.
