The White Stripes? After an evening in the company of this lot, you won't miss them. Portland's Sad Horse and Tokyo counterparts 2UP both operate in the high-wire world of the guitar/drums duo – a format that leaves absolutely nothing to chance, but can make for a spine-tingling live experience when it's done right. The two bands wrap up their eight-date Japan tour (complete with split cassette tape – very DIY!) at Forestlimit, in the company of pummeling noise rockers Kuruucrew and electronic noiseniks Shibata + Oscilloscottie.
