They put the Id into idol group, this lot. On the surface, Ebisu Muscats look like just another manufactured girl-pop army – albeit one whose members are a little bit older, and shapely, than you might expect. But that sugary-sweet pop surface conceals a far less wholesome core: the group is made up entirely of AV actresses and gravia swimsuit models, including Sora Aoi and Yuma Asami. We'd like to think that this is all a brilliant satire of the way in which the budding pubescent sexuality of AKB48 et al. is marketed to fully grown men, but alas, it's probably just a reflection of the fact that the porn and pop industries have a lot in common – starting with the fans.
